Shelter Director

“You don’t work for me, you work with me” … has always been Tina's motto in her 30+ years of property, retail, and now, shelter management. Tina believes that the employees of the shelter and the retail store are the real heroes of the organization. “The Dogwood Animal Shelter Organization is a multi-functional operation where everyone plays an important role to our overall success – I just oversee the operations of it all”.  Tina is honored to be part of an organization with a mission as important as DAS - to see the joy in a child adopting their first pet, or a senior family rescuing a senior paw, to someone rescuing an animal in a less than desirable circumstance and continuing the dream of one man to reduce the unplanned pet population in the Lake community.

Tina and John have six fur babies - four dogs and two cats - five of which came from Dogwood.  While they have been breeders of multiple breeds through the years they believe in the importance of responsible pet ownership. They have nine grandchildren and nine grand fur babies.
