Meet Cassie!

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, love me because I'm not.  My name is Cassie and that's my motto.  Most folks can't decide if I'm so ugly I'm cute, or I'm just ugly....but not the people here at the shelter.  They are always telling me how beautiful I am.  I'm about two years old and some kind of boxer mix, but no one can figure it out.  I've got this wild hair thing going on and some days I just can't seem to do a thing with it. 

My friend and I were tied up to a sign in the State park and abandoned there.  Thank goodness, some nice people came along and found us and brought us here to the shelter.  It scares me to think what could have happened to us!  My friend has already been adopted, but because I'm a little shy, I'm still here.  I keep hoping that special person comes along who will be very patient with me, ‘cause once I warm up to you, you will have a friend for life!

So, if you're the kind of person who thinks that looks aren't everything and that behind every face (like mine) is a beautiful soul, please come by and visit with me.  I'm very good on a leash and always ready for a nice walk.
